Bajaj launched a new model/variant of the discover motorcycles that will sit at the top of the Discover segment, the Bajaj Discover 150F. This motorcycle gets a very different looks from the rest of the Discover range. It Ex-showroom price is between 55000-60000 (subject to change).
The Bajaj Discover 150 F majority of its components same as the Discover 125 ST, just like another model the Discover 150S, which was also launched along with the semi-faired version. The grab rails, exhaust, seat, mirrors and the mono shock have been inherited from the Discover 125 ST parts bin –a idea to keep cost in check.
The semi-fairing of the Discover 150F is sure to attract a lot of customers looking for a commuter motorcycle with an extra bit of flair. Braking power comes from a 240mm disc at the front and 130mm drum at the rear. The Discover 150F rides on the 100/90-17 tubeless tyre at the rear and 80/100-17 tubeless tyre in front. With a tank capacity of 10 litres, the bike can travel for almost 600kms at one go.
The Discover 150F is now positioned between the Discover 150S and the Pulsar 135 and its competitor with semi-faired bikes are like the Hero Ignitor and the Honda Stunner. The Bajaj Discover 150F is available in four shades – dark blue, wine red, ebony black and dark bottle green.
Discover 150F comes with a range of stylish features and genuine price that rank it among the best looking bikes available on the roads. The combination of the muscular fuel tank, the stylish LED tail lamps, the 10-spoke alloys add to the signature Discover look with stylish body graphics.
Discover 150F’s 110mm Nitrox Mono-shock Suspension uses path-breaking shock absorber technology ensure the safe journey. Unlike conventional oil-filled suspensions that run the risk of frothing or bubble-formation, Discover 150F comes with Nitrogen filled suspension which is very much responsible for stable and smooth drive. Discover 150F’s 12V21/5W tail lamps are designed for maximum visibility, even from a distance good in night and foggy weather.
The Discover 150F is powered by a single-cylinder 150cc engine that produces 14bhp at 8,5000rpm and a maximum torque of 12.75Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is mated to a five speed constant mesh gearbox. The gear shifting pattern is all up. The company claims an ARAI fuel efficiency of 72kmpl and has a top speed of 110kmph.
